“Creators are among the most dynamic small business segments in
the world,” Jonathan Kolozsvary, global head of small business for Visa Commercial Solutions, said
in a Tuesday news release. “Our creator report showcases their ingenuity and guides how Visa
is investing to empower the creator economy, providing specialized financial tools and resources that
help creators scale their business locally and globally.”
Among the findings, 88% of creators expect revenues to grow in the
next year, underlining increasing optimism about earning potential, the release said.
The creators told Visa they prefer using modern payment processors,
“enabling a global audience and faster access to earnings, though payment delays remain a
challenge,” according to the release.
Creators who took part in the survey “are global
entrepreneurs,” and 52% said they receive payments from outside of their home country, the release
said.
Visa also said it is exploring a collaboration with Karat, which
offers financial services for creators, to develop an agentic pilot program aimed at helping creatives
run their businesses, per the release.
“Inspired by real challenges highlighted in
‘Monetized,’ this initiative would be designed to give creators practical tools to manage
their finances and streamline operations,” the release said.
Potential tools could include agentic automation to streamline the
sending, receiving and tracking of payments, as well as automatic reminders for following up on late
invoices or brand payments, according to the release.
In addition, users “could have the option to store and verify
buyer and supplier details in one place to save time and help prevent fraud,” the release
said.
Research by PYMNTS Intelligence has charted the growing use
of agentic artificial intelligence tools among businesses, with companies that produce goods leading the
way in creative applications of agentic AI.
A third of companies in this sector said they use agentic AI primarily
for product idea, design and innovation, compared with just 6.7% of services firms.
